VCPastry is a premium e-commerce platform designed for a bespoke bakery specialising in high-end, customizable pastries. The goal was to translate the artisanal quality of the physical bakery into a digital experience that allows customers to order and customize gourmet treats from their mobile devices.
E-commerce for bakeries presents unique challenges, particularly around customization and local delivery logistics. Standard off-the-shelf e-commerce platforms often fall short when it comes to complex ordering options (flavours, fillings, occasion-specific designs) and managing the delicate nature of pastry delivery within specific time windows.
